About Us


Whilst studying for her PhD, Mina began Wildcraft Gluten Free Bakery in her kitchen, using her foraging skills, her passion for baking and bringing in influences of her Kenyan heritage. Sam is a fellow Coeliac who hadn’t eaten ‘real’ bread in years. She was so blown away by Mina’s sprouted buckwheat sourdough, she quit her fifteen year career and joined Mina on a quest to share artisan gluten free food with the world.

These intrepid women have 6 degrees between them, none of which are in food or business related subjects! Together, this unlikely duo are gaining a reputation throughout the UK, and recently won a clutch of awards at the Freefrom Food awards in their first year together, including a Gold award for their Sprouted Buckwheat sourdough loaf, a silver for their brioche and were named overall winners in the Best Product from a new start-up.

The Bakery

Currently located on an industrial estate which benefits from ample parking, our working bakery is open to the public 5 days a week. Our customers make the pilgrimage from far and wide to visit the bakery and stock up their freezers with our produce. It’s really important to us to try to be a zero waste bakery, so preorders are always welcome to ensure we make the right amount of food and no one is disappointed.

While we don’t currently offer any eat-in facilities, we are crowdfunding to open a new Bakery Shop & Cafe in Meanwood!
