Wildcraft bakery is one of the leading innovators in Gluten Free and allergy conscious product development. Our unique course gives you the chance to see behind the scenes, find out what inspires us and learn some of our secrets! The one day course is aimed at all levels of home bakers – there is something for everyone, whether novice or experienced.
The day begins with an informal get-to-know-you breakfast of our delicious pastries, where you have the opportunity to share your experiences of food and dietary issues with others if you wish. A wholesome lunch of Wildcraft produce is also included with an opportunity to pick the bakers’ brains in a Q and A session.
The day is packed full of practical, hands on sessions covering bread, cake and pastry as well as demonstrations from our bakers Mina and Sam.
Throughout the day, the bakers share some of the science and knowledge behind successful gluten free baking including understanding how to blend flours to create different products and how to create and care for a gluten free sourdough starter.
And of course everyone goes home with their delicious bakes in hand, as well as a very special gift of a small pot of ‘Andrew II’ our Millet sourdough starter, used in all of our breads.
